(ACOG) is the nation's leading group of professionals providing health care for women. It is a private, voluntary, nonprofit membership organization.

Birth Centers Online advances public knowledge and understanding of issues related to family-centered childbirth. In particular, the Foundation supports the development and evaluation of the birth center as the model for providing maternity care both now and in the 21st century. It promotes birth centers achieving the highest levels of care through nationally accepted standards of care and quality assurance mechanisms.
